Spanning 14 states and with over 100 federal laboratories and facilities connecting the heartland of America, the Mid-Continent Region is the largest of the six FLC regions. Laboratories in the Mid-Continent Region perform cutting-edge research for agencies that include the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), and Department of Agriculture (USDA), to name a few.

Numerous technologies transferred from the Mid-Continent Region have been leveraged to address societal needs, promote economic development and growth, and enhance U.S. competitiveness in the global marketplace.
