Description

Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) is the U.S. Navy's research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for command, control and communication systems and ocean surveillance. SSC Pacific provides information resources to support the joint warfighter in mission execution and force protection. SSC Pacific was established June 1, 1940 as the Navy's first West Coast laboratory. It is headquartered in San Diego, Calif., with other sites at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Barrigada, Guam; Yokosuka, Japan; Philadelphia, Pa. The Center employs 4,300 civilian and military personnel, the majorityare engineers, scientists and technicians developing technology to meet the Navy's information requirements of the future and providing Fleet support to keep current information systems running.

Mission

SSC Pacific leads the Navy from concept to capability through research, development, delivery, and support of integrated C4ISR, cyber, and space systems across all warfighting domains.
