The FLC Midwest Region is now accepting nominations for its 2017 awards. The regional awards program annually recognizes federal laboratories and their industry partners for outstanding technology transfer efforts in the following categories:
Regional Excellence in Technology Transfer Award – recognizes employees of FLC member laboratories and non-laboratory staff who have accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring federally developed technology.
Interagency Partnership Award – recognizes the efforts of federal science and technology employees from at least two different agencies in the Midwest Region who have collaboratively accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring a technology.
State and Local Economic Development Award – This award will be presented to an FLC Midwest Region member laboratory, along with an American-owned company, nonfederal government entity, and/or college or university in the Midwest Region that has developed successful initiatives for economic benefit on the state or local level.

Nominations in all categories must be electronically submitted by Friday, July 14, 2017, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Winners will be announced by July 31 and awards presented during the FLC Midwest/Southeast joint regional meeting in Covington, Kentucky, August 29 – 30.
Evaluators Needed for 2017 FLC Midwest Regional Awards
The FLC Midwest Region is currently seeking volunteers to evaluate nominations for its 2017 awards. As an evaluator, you will review the best and most innovative technologies produced by FLC member laboratories in the region and choose those you feel are the "best of the best."
Prospective evaluators must be available to review nominations July 17 through July 21, 2017. If you are interested in serving as an evaluator, contact Michele Chambers at email@example.com no later than Thursday, July 14, 2017.
