Abstract:

Potential Energy DC is non-profit 501c3 organization connecting the DC metro region, to propel energy and sustainability startups. Potential Energy DC incubates and accelerates emerging energy solution companies. The organization looks for high-impact companies that might not fit the traditional DC-area unicorn-hunting investment philosophy. This is a community dedicated to solving the energy problems of today and tomorrow.

The year-long AccelerateDC program is administered by GW is to bring the benefits of I-Corps to early stage non-university-affiliated technology startups in the greater-DC region. In 2018, AccelerateDC will select 8 -10 teams to begin the program. A 2-week regional course establishes I-Corps lineage and eligibility for the teams to enter the National I-Corps training program and follow GO training.   Following the initial qualifying course, selected teams will be awarded reimbursement-based, non-dilutive grants of $25,000 prior to the national I-Corps Phase 0 course.  Funds are used for travel related to the national course and customer discovery activities.
