IWSS Spring Conference
This conference will facilitate networking opportunities with representatives from industry, federal and state agencies, institutions of higher education, the private sector, and others. The conference will include a concurrent multi-disciplinary poster session to convey information about current research initiatives, progress, and discoveries. The program will feature a mixture of broad and focused perspectives and will include presentations by representatives from the Federal Laboratory Consortium, as well as researchers involved in West Virginia’s NSF EPSCoR project, the Appalachian Freshwater Initiative. The programmatic material will include a wide variety of water resource topics including aquatic ecology, climate change, emerging contaminants, agriculture, wastewater management, watershed modeling, economic efficiency in water allocation, and the energy industry. The first day of the conference will focus on watershed management and water quality, while the second day will focus on water availability and treatment.
