ECU Live/Virtual Technology Showcase
In collaboration with NC IDEA and the Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC), we are hosting ECU's first ever Technology Showcase featuring a chance to gain exposure to ongoing federal research and existing intellectual property (IP) as well as the chance to interact with Principal Investigators representing over 90 federal laboratories from the Southeast and Midwest FLC Regions. These federal labs include DoD, DoE, NASA, NIH, Dept of Agriculture and many others. FLC has more than 20,000+ patents available for commercialization and ongoing state-of-the-art research for potential collaboration
The event represents a rare chance to identify collaborative research opportunities with federal laboratories. The technologies featured also represent opportunities for commercialization and entrepreneurial initiatives for our region. The event is being presented by ECU, NC IDEA and the US Department of Commerce in collaboration with the Federal Laboratory Consortium (Southeast and Midwest regions). The Federal Laboratory Consortium consists of labs throughout the nation with $billions of funded research and promising IP. Our collaboration with FLC offers unique insights into research at these labs and the opportunity to infuse valuable state-of-the-art technology and intellectual property for our region. FLC representatives will present seminars on the topics of SBIR/STTR, working with federal labs, collaborative research agreements, summer faculty/student opportunities in federal labs, available federal scholarships, and national resources for technology commercialization. ECU faculty researchers and regional technology companies will be featured as well.
