Agreements for Commercializing Technology

Agreements for Commercializing Technology

Agreements for Commercializing Technology (ACT) is a program that enables DOE laboratory contractors to act in a private capacity and conduct privately-sponsored research – at the contractor's risk – for third parties. ACT alleviates many of the typical concerns under a Work for Others (WFO) agreement, allowing laboratory contractors to contract with third party businesses using terms that are more typically aligned with industry practice and providing a more flexible framework for negotiation of intellectual property (IP) rights.
