Army Collaborative Technologies Showcased

Many of the U.S. Army’s leading science, research and technology professionals demonstrated an array of their latest collaborative work at the sold-out 2011 Ground Vehicle Systems Engineering and Technology Symposium (GVSETS), held Aug. 9-11 in Dearborn, Michigan.

This year, the Army’s exhibit portrayed how Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and the science and technology community work together to provide soldiers with superior technology.

Centering the display was a concept vehicle from the joint service, multi-national program for a family of light tactical vehicles and companion trailers. As the central component of the Defense Department's tactical wheeled vehicle strategy, this program will enhance the military services’ mix of tactical vehicles by providing a balanced vehicle solution—performance, payload and protection—with increased transportability and expeditionary mobility.
