Awards
On April 29, 2010, the FLC honored its newest technology transfer standouts at the FLC awards banquet and ceremony. During this prestigious event, scientists and technology transfer specialists from around the country were recognized for advancing their technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace.
A total of 34 winners representing 39 laboratories and five agencies received awards in the following categories:
Award for Excellence in Technology Transfer - Recognizes laboratory employees (and their commercial partners) who have accomplished outstanding work in the process of transferring a technology developed by a federal laboratory.
Laboratory Director of the Year - Recognizes directors of FLC laboratories who have made maximum contributions to support technology transfer activities in their organizations.
FLC Service Awards - Recognize individuals involved in technology transfer activities that have provided noteworthy support to the technology transfer process, furthering the mission of the FLC.
Outstanding Technology Transfer Professional Award - Recognizes the efforts of a technology transfer professional (or team) who has demonstrated outstanding work in transferring a technology.
Interagency Partnership Award - Recognizes agency and/or laboratory employees from at least two different agencies who have collaboratively accomplished outstanding work in transferring a technology.
