Building a Stronger America Act (S. 1373 - Introduced 5/11/07): A bill to "provide grants and loan guarantees for the development and construction of science parks to promote the clustering of innovation through high technology activities." According to the Association of University Research Parks (AURP) web page, this bill "if passed, will authorize a federal grant program to be funded in the amount of $7.5 million per year (subject to appropriation), for the development of feasibility studies and plans for the construction or expansion of research parks. The legislation would also guarantee loans between $10 million and $50 million for building new parks and upgrading existing research and science park infrastructure." April 2006

Federal Research Public Access Act (S. 2695 - Introduced 4/6/06): "A bill to provide for Federal agencies to develop public access policies relating to research conducted by employees of that agency or from funds administered by that agency." In General - Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, each Federal agency with extramural research expenditures of over $100,000,000 shall develop a Federal research public access policy that is consistent with and advances purposes of the Federal agency.

Science Park Administration Act (S.1581 - Introduced 7/29/05): A bill to amend the Stevenson-Wydler Technology Innovation Act of 1980 (the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 and the tax code) to facilitate the development of science parks, and for other purposes.
