Background/History of the Laboratory:

The Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC) is a U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) tenant activity located on Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville, Ala. RTTC is one of the eight test centers that comprise the Developmental Test Command (DTC), headquartered at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. RTTC's primary service is to provide advanced testing of weapon systems for the Department of Defense (DoD), its contractors, and friendly governments. The Center provides advanced testing in two major areas. The first is flight- testing for small rockets and guided missiles. The second is life-cycle advanced testing for weapon system Components and Subsystems.

Mission of the Laboratory:

The mission of the Redstone Technical Test Center (RTTC) is to provide both the flight-testing of small rockets and guided missiles and life cycle testing for weapon system components and/or subsystems. These services are furnished to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of primarily military hardware and embedded software in their operational environments. These services are supplied to the Department of Defense (DoD), its contractors, and friendly governments.
