Background/History of the Laboratory:
The Center for AMEDD Strategic
Studies (CASS) is located on Fort Sam Houston, Tex.; it is
one of five Directorates under the Assistant Commandant for
Force Integration in the Army Medical Department Center &
School. The CASS has three branches:

Mission of the Laboratory:
The mission of the CASS is to
plan, program, perform, and publish organized analytic
assessments and evaluations in support of decision- and
policy-making, management, and administration of Army
medicine.
