Description
The CRADA is a partnering tool that allows federal laboratories to work with U.S. industries, academia and other organizations on cooperative R&D projects.
The CRADA provides flexibility in structuring project contributions and intellectual property rights, and in protecting the NIST partner's proprietary information and CRADA research results.
Features/Characteristics
- A pre-application memo and a statement of work are required to begin the approval process.
I.P. and Resource Commitment
- Rights to inventions and other intellectual property concerns are negotiated between the laboratory and participant.
