Features/Characteristics

  • DOD policy is to award research grants to educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and state/local governments only.

    Research grants to educational institutions must be competed.

I.P. and Resource Commitment

  • Normally, recipient obtains title to inventions, but government retains Government Purpose License Rights (GPLR).

    No cost sharing is required.
