Description

  • A GRA provides access for technically qualified U.S. citizens to NIST facilities and equipment while working with NIST staff on projects of mutual interest. International scientists are also eligible for a similar program.

    Types: International and Domestic

Features/Characteristics

  • The GRA is used when the guest researcher will work at NIST on an extended basis collaboratively with NIST research staff, on projects of mutual interest. Unless preapproved by NIST, the guest researcher does not work on CRADA projects or other projects in which another organization's trade secrets or other intellectual property may be involved.

I.P. and Resource Commitment

  • Joint inventions will be jointly owned.

    Sole inventions will be owned by the inventing party.

    NIST reserves the right to a nonexclusive, nontransferable, irrevocable, paid-up license to practice or have practiced.
