The MIT Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership is not time off from business. It is a period of intense immersion in a globally-oriented environment that gives participants the rare opportunity to strategize with international colleagues. The program's innovative team convergence paradigm maximizes the value of the intensive interactions between fellows. The class is segmented into small study groups of four fellows, but members of those study groups regularly work with members of the other study groups through this dynamic team model. Building knowledge is important, but knowing how to use that knowledge to advantage is what distinguishes the most effective leaders. For this reason, the program concentrates on building a strong foundation of practical skills and firsthand experiences that students will draw on during the most pivotal years of their careers. MIT Sloan Fellows will find that the curriculum invigorates their spirit of intellectual adventure and primes their minds for ideas and possibilities they would not have had time to explore in the day-to-day course of doing business. Depending on their curricular and research choices, participants may elect to earn an MBA, a Master of Science in Management, or a Master of Science in Management of Technology. In 2004, MIT merged its two internationally respected executive degree programs: the MIT Sloan Fellows Program and the MIT Management of Technology Program.
